UGA Survives Notre Dame Comeback Attempt

One of the games of the day lived up to the hype with #3 UGA holding off #7 Notre Dame, 23-17 between the hedges on Saturday night.

ND drew first blood after the Dawgs had muffed a punt & Irish head coach Brian Kelly decided to go for it on 4th & goal in the 2nd quarter.

UGA answered with a Swift touchdown on the ground.

After some field goals UGA had taken a 13-10 lead & this throw & catch from Fromm to Cager increased their lead.

The Dawgs added another FG to increase their lead to 23-10. The Irish needed a score & quickly. They got it with this Book to Claypool pass & reception.

ND got the stop they needed to get the ball back but the drive stalled to a 4th & 9.

ND proved they can play with the big boys but moral victories don’t get you W’s. UGA captured that on Saturday.
