Ravens Win on Sunday Night Football, End Patriots Run at Perfection

The Baltimore Ravens scored a huge victory over the New England Patriots, 37-20 on Sunday Night Football. The Ravens jumped out to a 17-0 lead thanks to a Lamar Jackson rushing TD, Gus Edwards’ own rushing TD & a Justin Tucker FG.

The game was changed when the Ravens muffed a punt deep in their own end to give the Patriots a sign a life & their first points of the evening.

With the Patriots adding 2 field goals in the 2nd quarter, the game was on. At the start of the 2nd half, the Pats had the ball & were driving until Julian Edelman fumbled & Marlon Humphrey picked it up & scored.

New England did answer that turnover with a big TD drive to stay within 4 points of Baltimore.

Jackson led the Ravens down field & into the end zone with this pass to Nick Boyle but Justin Tucker missed his 2nd XP in his whole career only making the lead 10 not 11.

Brady & the Pats got the ball back but TB12 threw this interception that gave it right back to the Ravens.

Baltimore did a great job of running clock & finishing the drive by scoring this Jackson TD run.

The Pats will not be chasing the perfect season & the overreactions that they are done is stupid & so is Lamar Jackson MVP talk.

Do the Pats need some work? Yes.

Is Lamar Jackson improving? Yes.

Let’s not jump the gun on both extremes though. I’m not changing my goal posts with Lamar, him running has never been an issue with me. His ability to get the ball out on time & accurately has always been my gripe. He’s doing a better job of that & credit to him. Big win for his Ravens.
