Carolina Panthers Fire Ron Rivera

The Carolina Panthers have fired Head Coach Ron Rivera in a move that has shocked the rest of the league with its timing.

The Panthers have named Secondary coach Perry Fewell the interim head coach for the remainder of the season. In 9 seasons with the team, Rivera had a 76-63-1 regular season record and was 3-4 in the postseason. Rivera led Carolina to a Super Bowl appearance and three NFC South titles in his tenure.
