Liverpool Beat Manchester United, Leicester City Upset by Burnley, Manchester City Draw Crystal Palace

League leaders Liverpool hosted Manchester United at Anfield on Sunday in another edition of England’s best rivalry. The hosts scored in the first half on a Trent Alexander Arnold corner that was finished off by Virgil Van Dijk.





The game was nervy in the second half as LFC could not put away United. Man U kept surviving & searching for an equalizer until stoppage time when goalkeeper Alisson sprung Mo Salah to double the Reds lead & put the match on ice.



Second place Leicester City was away at Turf Moor taking on a Burnley side that desperate for a win. The visitors scored first on fantastic individual effort from Harvey Barnes.




Burnley drew level off a set piece that resulted in a net mouth scramble & tap in.



The Foxes had a chance to take the lead with a penalty but Jamie Vardy’s effort was saved by Nick Pope.




Turf Moor erupted when Ashley Westwood finished a chance in the box & gave the hosts the lead & eventually all 3 points.



Manchester City was looking to continue their form from a 6-0 drubbing of Aston Villa with a date against Crystal Palace. New signing Cenk Tosun opened the scoring for underdogs.



City then equalized & thought they had taken the 3 points thorough this Aguero tally.





HOWEVEA, City conceded an own goal in the 90th minute to level the game & split the points.






Chelsea lost at the death to Newcastle at St. James Park, Arsenal drew Sheffield United & Tottenham & Watford drew at Vicarage Road in other top 6 matches.
