Nervy Liverpool Hold Off Brighton, Tottenham Escape Bournemouth Comeback, Chelsea Falls to West Ham

League leaders Liverpool were home to Brighton on Saturday & escaped Anfield with 2-1 win. LFC’s goals came from defender Virgil Van Dijk off set pieces. The drama in the second half came after Alisson was sent off for illegally handling the ball & Brighton pulling one back. However the Reds held off Brighton for the 3 points.

Tottenham continued their new winning form under manager Jose Mourinho. Spurs ripped off the first three goals of the match including two from Dele Alli. Substitute Harry Wilson’s brace got Bournemouth back into the tie but Tottenham held off the rally til the final whistle & the 3 points.

Chelsea’s good form came to an end after failing to score against London rivals West Ham. The Hammers got a goal to the good & kept the Blues off the scoresheet for the 1-0 win.
