Chelsea Beat Tottenham in EPL Top 5 Clash

London rivals Chelsea & Tottenham faced off at Stamford Bridge in a Top 5 fixture with Champions League implications. With Spurs missing Harry Kane & Heung Min Son, Chelsea had the opportunity to distance themselves from their rival in the table.

Chelsea striker Oliver Giroud scored the opener in his return to the starting XI.

Left back Marcus Alonso made the most of his first start in a while by finishing off this nice build up play to double the hosts’ lead.

Erik Lamela pulled one back for Tottenham but the visitors could not find an equalizer. Chelsea earned all 3 points in a result that will boost their UCL hopes, as for Tottenham there are not reinforcements coming up front so Spurs will have a tough run in the rest of the season.
