After a blazing start to the season it wasn’t a question of “if” Liverpool would win the title it was “when” would the Reds lift their first Premier League title.
Obviously with the lockdown in England & across the world, the LFC players, staff & fans had to wait 13 weeks from playing their last match, a 2-1 win versus Bournemouth, until the restart of the Premier League in June.
For Liverpool, the first match back was a goalless draw at Goodison Park against in town rivals Everton. Manchester City kept the inevitable delayed with wins against Arsenal & Burnley.
Liverpool dismantled Crystal Palace at Anfield 4-0 which set the scene for Chelsea to did what they did for Leicester City in 2016. If the London Blues got a result at Stamford Bridge against Pep Guardiola’s side, Liverpool would lift the title.

Jurgen Klopp had to walk off his interview with Sky Sports after the match because he was too moved emotinally from seeing the response of his players & the fans across the city.
