LSU Holds Off Texas, Clemson Drops Texas A&M, Michigan Needs 2OT To Beat Army

An exciting Week 2 of College Football culminated with an #6 LSU victory on the road in Austin vs. #9 Texas. LSU Quarterback Joe Burrow made all the the throws good enough for a 45-38 shootout victory! The win gives LSU a strong early season notch on their resume & begins to build their College Football Playoff case.

Trevor Lawrence led his #1 Clemson Tigers to a home 24-10 win over #12 Texas A&M. Lawrence’s passing touchdown & rushing touchdown in the 2nd quarter extended Clemson’s lead & put the Aggies away early. After this out of conference matchup, I don’t see the Tigers being tested too much.

The nerves were high in The Big House in Ann Arbor as #7 Michigan needed two overtimes to escape Army with a 24-21 victory. The Michigan defense did a good job on Army’s triple option but I still worry about the offense as the struggles continued for the Wolverines as Offensive Coordinator Josh Gattis, Head Coach Jim Harbaugh & Quarterback Shea Patterson have not gotten on the same page.
