Man City Boss Pep Says Defender Laporte Will Be Back Sooner than Expected

Manager Pep Guardiola broke some news at his press conference on Friday ahead of Manchester City’s Saturday match with Norwich City.

First choice defender Aymeric Laporte was feared to be out the remainder of the season for the defending Premier League champions. If Laporte is back by February that is a huge piece in a City team that will be stride for stride with Liverpool in this year’s battle for the title.

I think with Laporte being back shortly after the transfer window, Pep will not buy a center back in January. The Premier League returns this weekend after an international break.
