Serie A Suspends Matches Due to Coronavirus

The Italian Olympic Committee has ordered that all sports be halted across the country due to the spread of the coronavirus. Serie A matches will be suspended until April.

Teams have 12 or 13 matches left in their seasons. Juventus is one point ahead of Lazio for the top of the table. Originally mathces were being played with no fans in the stands but the spread of the virus has caused Italy to shut down.

Announcements have not been made about European competitions. Juventus, Napoli & Atalanta are in Champions League & Inter Milan & Roma are in Europa League. There are reports that UEFA could suspend both competitions after concluding the Round of 16.
