UCL: Bayern Munich Smash Barcelona To Advance to Champions League Semifinal

Bayern Munich smashed Barcelona, 8-2 in Friday’s Champions League Quarterfinal. Munich were just too much for Lionel Messi & company on the day. Thomas Muller & Robert Lewandowski combined for a wonderful 1-2 to start the scoring & the sides were level after a David Alaba own goal into the Bayern net.

But then Munich dropped the hammer on their opponents with goals from Ivan Perisic, Serge Gnabry & Muller.

Luis Suarez pulled one back for Barca but Munich struck back with Alphonso Davies dancing along the goal line to provide a tap in for Joshua Kimmich.

Lewandowski finally got his goal for the match on a Phil Coutinho cross. Coutinho was subbed on against his parent club, grabbed that assist & the 7th & 8th goals on the night for Munich.

Bayern Munich will take on the winner of Manchester City & Lyon in next week’s Semifinal.
