Barcelona Hire Ronald Koeman After Sacking Quique Setien

Barcelona have hired Ronald Koeman to fill their managerial vacancy. Barca sacked Quique Setien after the embarrassing 8-2 Champions League Quarterfinal loss to Bayern Munich. Koeman left his duties with the Dutch National Team to take the job at the Camp Nou.

At the club level, Koeman most recently managed Everton in the EPL in 2017. Koeman played for Barca from 1989-1995 & was an assistant coach from 1998-2000. Club president Josep Maria Bartomeu outlined plans for Koeman’s first year at Barca.

Barca will try to keep Leo Messi around after sources reported the Argentinian wants out before the next season begins. Koeman must keep Messi in the team if he wants to win at the Camp Nou.
