LSU, Texas & LA Tech Are Having a Huge Game of “He Said, He Said” Over the Visiting Locker Room in Austin

For those not following this story, the LSU media had picked up on a hot tip after LSU’s 45-38 win in Austin over Texas last Saturday. The media had reported that Coach O was given a heads up by the LA Tech staff that the air conditioning in the visitor’s locker room was not working.

“First of all, I called Louisiana Tech, and they told us about it,” Orgeron said Monday. “So we did some things in the dressing room that were better. It wasn’t great, but it was better. At least we had air in there. They didn’t have air. We had some blowers in there. I don’t think that caused as much as going out there and having to play 93 plays on defense. I think that had a lot to do with it.”

Texas responded on their social platforms…

And on Tuesday, it was LA Tech’s turn to throw in their two cents.

Skip Holtz employing the old “plausible deniability” excuse. My takeaway here is that Coach O was certainly told ahead of time from some LA Tech staff that the air was warm in the visitors locker room. Texas went with the strategy of “how would we know if the a/c is down if we’re not told.” Certainly not a unique tactic but a tactic nonetheless & why am I thinking that we haven’t heard the last about the visiting locker room in Austin.
