NFL Week 2 Pick 6

This week’s Pick 6 features 2 favorites, 2 dogs, an under & an over.  I was 3-2-1 last week so let’s see if I can carry that to Week 2.

YTD Record: 3-2-1
Pick #1
Carolina Panthers-Tampa Bay Buccaneers UNDER 48.5
The narrative about poorly played games on Thursday night starts with this one. I expect this game to be sluggish & with the Panthers winning a low score contest the UNDER is absolutely in play!

Pick #2
New York Giants +1.5 vs. Buffalo Bills
I know this pick is off the board a little bit but hear me out. Giants at home against a Bills team going for the MetLife sweep in back to back weeks after picking up a victory against the Jets in the Meadowlands. G-Men did a good job of keeping Eli Manning upright against the Cowboys, I think they do that again this week & the Giants find a way to win it.

Pick #3
Los Angeles Chargers -2.5 @ Detroit Lions
Chargers coming east off an overtime victory against the Colts at home. Detroit flew back home after a disappointing tie in Arizona. Chargers are the better team with more talent & that’s why I expect them to win by more than a field goal.

Pick #4
Seattle Seahawks +4 @ Pittsburgh
I like Seattle to score the upset here against the Steelers in Pittsburgh. Seahawks did enough against a bad Cincinnati team but I think they put it together this Sunday. The Steelers are still licking their wounds from the somewhat annual butt kicking in New England & I don’t expect them to make enough plays to beat Russell Wilson & company.

Pick #5
Dallas Cowboys -5.5 @ Washington Redskins
This pick is about how good the Cowboys are. The Dallas offense was fantastic in the Week 1 win over New York & I see Kellen Moore instilling more & more confidence in his quarterback Dak Prescott. The Dallas defense will keep Case Keenum & the Skins offense in check on the other side of the ball.

Pick #6
Los Angeles Rams vs. New Orleans Saints OVER 51.5
This NFC Championship rematch has a lot of attention as it should. Two really great football teams that had a shootout in the regular season & a possession for possession showdown in that NFC title game. I see this game being more like that regular season shootout & that’s why I’m taking the OVER here. I’m pumped to see Jared Goff & Drew Brees go score for score again!
