Packers Hold Off Seahawks To Advance to the NFC Championship

The Green Bay Packers jumped out to a lead & held off the Seattle Seahawks, 28-23 in Green Bay to advance to the NFC Championship Game. Aaron Rodgers and Russell Wilson showed how great they both really are in a hard fought contest at Lambeau Field.

The Packers scored on their opening drive with Rodgers finding Davante Adams for the touchdown. Seattle got a field goal to get on the board but Aaron Jones ran in two TDs to give Green Bay a 21-3 lead at halftime.

In the 3rd quarter, Marshawn Lynch barreled into the end zone for a Seahawks score but Rodgers found Adams in a one-on-one situation that resulted in a Packers TD. Before the quarter ended, Russell Wilson found his favorite target Tyler Lockett in the back of the end zone to close the Green Bay lead to 28-17.

Marshawn Lynch scored his second touchdown of the day but the Seahawks two point conversion ended in a sack so the lead was 28-23.

Seattle got the ball back but elected to punt after a 3rd down sack of Wilson. Rodgers put the game on ice with a 3rd down conversion to former Seahawks tight end Jimmy Graham.

The Packers will travel to Santa Clara to take on the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship Game next Sunday.
