Napoli Stun Liverpool, Valencia Win At Chelsea, Barcelona & Dortmund Draw

The first session of UEFA Champions League Matchday 1 was completed on Tuesday & what a day it was in footy.

Just like last’s year campaign, Napoli & Liverpool were grouped together. Napoli dropped the Champions of Europe 2-0 in Naples thanks to a controversial penalty call & a rare Virgil Van Dijk mistake.

These still should be the teams coming out of this group with Gent & Red Bull Salzberg being the others.

Next we head to London & Stamford Bridge where last season’s Europa League champions Chelsea hosted Spanish side Valencia. Valencia nicked a 1-0 victory with this Rodrigo goal & some late penalty drama for Chelsea.

Manager Frank Lampard said that Ross Barkley is the penalty taker when he’s on the pitch.

We now go to Germany, where a highly anticipated match between the host, Dortmund & Barcelona….that turned into a goal less draw. The drama came with a Ter Stegen stop on a Reus penalty.

Messi returned to action but could not provide that magical touch for the winning margin.

Inter had some late drama at the San Siro, scoring this equalizer in stoppage time.

The Ajax-Lille match gave us a great moment. Dusan Tadic gave David Neres a little bit of an eastern European love tap & a smooch to make up for it.

Matchday 1 continues today with some big games including PSG-Real Madrid & Atletico Madrid & Juventus.
