Georgia Beats Florida, Dawgs Still Control Their College Football Playoff Destiny

Georgia kept their College Football Playoff hopes alive by defeating rival Florida, 24-17 in the World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party in Jacksonville.

UGA got the scoring started with a field goal & then added this touchdown to jump out to a 10-0 lead.

Two UGA drives stalled but again the Dawgs added field goals. UF also broke their shutout with a field goal before the Gators scored this touchdown to get back into the game.

UGA QB Jake Fromm played a really good game & this touchdown pass showed how well prepared he was & how his execution was excellent on the day. The Dawgs went for 2 & got it to increase their lead to 24-10.

Florida showed some resilience to fight back to get within 7 with this touchdown but it was Jake Fromm who convert some big 3rd downs to run out the clock for the very important win.

UGA’s season is still alive & if they can win out they will most likely play either Alabama or LSU in the SEC Championship Game for a spot in the College Football Playoff.
