Florida State Fires Head Coach Willie Taggart

The Willie Taggart era at Florida State is over. FSU relieved Taggart of his duties on Sunday after the Seminoles were beaten by rival Miami on Saturday.

Taggart shared this statement on Twitter.

Taggart’s record at FSU was a disappointing 9-12 through 1.5 seasons. Taggart arrived at FSU after he had pledged his allegiance to Oregon. Taggart bounced to Tallahassee on the first plane out of Eugene. Florida State will be coached in the interim by defensive line coach Odell Haggins.
