New York Giants Fire Pat Shurmur

The New York Giants have fired head coach Pat Shurmur after two seasons with the team.




Shurmur amassed a 9-23 record in just two seasons of a 5-year contract. The Giants released a statement via Twitter.



The Giants now join the Panthers, Browns & Redskins who also have head coaching vacancies. A rumor is that GM Dave Gettleman wants his old Panthers running mate Ron Rivera in New York however Rivera has been reportedly interested in the Redskins job. We’ll see how the rest of the firings & hirings shake out as the week goes on.
